Morals, Ethics and Integrity

To often people are viewed and measured holding trophies or a fat wallet and are measured while displaying there good character while winning. Being great is easy when you're winning. Life's experiences have taught me to measure ones true character, view them while there losing or facing a potential loss.

An accident left me with a damaged rear end. So I brought my truck to the only mechanic I trusted and you installed a brand new genuine GM rear end in my truck with a factory warranty. After a short time (within the warranty time) I suspected something was not quite right and suspected unusual rear tire wear. You quickly had my truck in your shop and evaluated my rear end. Everything appeared fine so you sent me out the door. Months later after grinding down my rear tires, it was obvious something was in fact wrong. My warranty had expired.  My truck still drove fine and the only evidence something was wrong was my severe rear tire wear. After investigating information, you found that GM in fact was knowingly selling rear ends with a reputation on having severe tire wear and their position was if the vehicle was beyond the warranty there was no chance of any redemption. You legally could tell me the same. Installing a new one would be at great cost to you without any hope of being reimbursed for parts or labor.

You were left in a losing situation. Exercise your legal right to inform me I'm very sorry but you are beyond the warranty or make the painful ethical decision do install a new one at great cost to only you. Knowing you all these years left me not surprised when you said bring it in and you would pick up the tab. It's disappointing to know in all my private and business dealings, few would display your character in a losing situation. Thanks.
